The Season of Shedding

The busyness and heat of summer is coming to an end and the quiet slipping into the dormancy and stillness of winter is beginning. The autumn equinox, when the hours of daylight once again equal the hours of darkness, offers a moment to pause, shed the heat/activity of summer, and prepare to enter into a time of increased silence and introspection.
Do you:
- feel overwhelmed by the busyness, chaos, and pain of life?
- crave time to pause, to align with the natural world, and to recharge?
- love celebrating the seasons in a ritual way with like-minded others?
If so, I warmly invite you to join myself and special guest Shauna Janz of Sacred Grief for a free virtual ritual.
Within the space of an hour, we will dive deep into ritual, allowing ourselves to receive the gift of being held and nourished by the balancing medicine of the autumn equinox.

Autumn is a time of transition.
And of shedding. Like the leaves that will soon be falling from the trees, you may find yourself in a time of shedding as well. Perhaps you feel called, like I have in the recent days, to obsessively clean your house and discard what is no longer needed.
Perhaps you, also like me, feel more often on the verge of tears.
Autumn is a time when we begin to feel called more inward and to settle into a deeper, quieter part of ourselves. For this to happen, it is necessary to release any stress or anxiety that has built up in our nervous systems. This shedding of stress often, for me anyway, involves tears.
The autumn equinox offers a potent time for us to spend a moment together in ritual and to align with the incoming season. Further, it allows us to shed whatever is needed so we can access the deeper, quieter aspects of ourselves that are waiting to come forth.
What will the ritual involve?
The ritual will begin with a non-dogmatic invocation/prayer. Next, I’ll take a moment to introduce Shauna; she will share some grief-wisdom as it relates to the autumn equinox.
From there, we will spend some time in reflection. Finally, I will take you on a drum journey where you can sink deeply into, be held by, and align with the medicine of the equinox.
Sound good?
Yay! We can’t wait to be in ritual with you!
